So last Thursday Harley and I went on a date to get our palms read and to try the food festival that was going on. The initial plan was to try the deep fried pickles but once we got there, there were soooo many choices and we completely forgot haha. The green onion cake was sooo yummy though, and I got him to try the vegan "chicken" strips, which were also really good. Because the palm reading place and the event were both downtown, we walked the couple blocks in between. Honestly, it was the best date I've ever been on. Getting each other to try food we'd normally never eat (I tried calamari... it was gross lol, I'm not a fan.) and walking around in the beautiful summer evening holding hands and talking. Plus the palm readings gave us a lot to talk about. He dropped me off at home around ten and while we were saying goodnight he brought up the "us" talk.
It's a long story, but we kind of have a history together, like he knows my ex because he's best friends with his brother, so basically I told him we could give us a shot as long as it didn't impact his relationship with his best friend. Eventually we'll have to deal with my ex knowing about us and I just don't want it to cause a rift in his friendship. So yea....I have a boyfriend now. It's kind of crazy how it all worked out and I'm so glad I took that risk that night at a friends party two months ago and asked Harley to stay the night. I'm so happy haha, I feel like I'm 17 again or something! So now I get to be introduced as the girlfriend at his cousins wedding on Friday.
Speaking of the wedding.... it's been my motivation to drink LOTS of water and eat better so that I can comfortably wear my little black dress. Nothing like the pressure of a good first impression and a tight dress to get my butt to the gym! I've even forced myself to suffer through the stair stepper!! I've also upped my Lat pull down weight to 80lbs and my chest press/fly to 15lbs. Going to do an incline run today and work on my arms. I've been working hard to get to 150 by Friday but I don't think that's going to happen. Regardless of weight I'm going to feel confident and sexy in my dress with no bloat because I've also cut out sugary drinks this week. This is the hardest part, the no energy drink thing... It's stupid how addicting those things are! I'm only on day 2 and it hasn't gotten easier. Just gotta think.....black dress, black dress, black dress! lol I'll make sure to take a picture and post it =)
