Saved Money With Clothes Coupons Yesterday

Wednesday, August 01, 2012

I took the kids bowling (summer free bowling) yesterday after my son's orthodontist appt. and afterwards we went to Target which I have not been to in a very long time.

Since I figured I would be stopping by there before we left the house, I went to the Target site and printed out some coupons that I "might" use. We found two dresses for my daughter (something she really needed) . I had Target coupons for each one (yes, I even use clothes coupons, LOL) and one of them was on clearance!

I found a pair of jean capri pants for her that were so cute and the best part was that they were marked down to $4 and some change! Of course I'm kicking myself that I didn't print out a coupon for that particular brand (Cherokee) but didn't think we'd find anything in that brand. Oh well, we still got a great deal! Yes, I drive my husband and myself crazy in regards to even a $1 or so that I overpaid!! emoticon

I got a package of Paper Mate pens free (they were on sale for 94 cents and Target had a coupon to get $1 off a package), got 2 bottles of Heinz white vinegar (I use it in the washing machine and to clean with) for 12 cents a bottle (had $1 coupons), etc.

I also stopped by Lowe's Foods since I was right near it for their last super doubles event and grabbed about 7 things that I had found coupons for while cleaning out my coupon box (since it was the last day of the month) while the kids bowled and while at my son's orthodontist appt.

My coupon box is all up to date with expired coupons pulled, all coupons cut and filed and it's ready to go for a new week of sales if I find any.

My last stop after all that was to CVS to pick up my husband's prescription and I made sure to use the card that I signed up with a little while back where eventually you get $5 CVS rewards after filling 5 prescriptions. Our insurance requires us to get all prescriptions there (I wouldn't chose them if it wasn't for that) so that's why I don't go to Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. for prescriptions.

I've got errands to run today, but I hope not many since I am a little tired of all the running around and want to have a day at home instead since the rest of the week is filled up with activities again.

TISTEN23 - That's awesome! I do the same thing, print coupons at My Points and then get 10 cents back when I redeem one (well actually 10 points that can be used for gift cards). It pays to save as much money as you can!

Great job!! I use coupons whenever i can, check safeway and fredmeyer websites before I leave for coupons. Also use www.inboxdollars.com for coupons and get paid $.10 per coupon redeemed. Save money and make money at the same time! How cool is that?!?!

I rarely remember to use coupons, sounds like a great idea though!

It saves so much money (coupons) that anytime anyone asks me if it's worth the time and effort, I tell them "most definitely"!
