You Define Your Future By What You Do Today

Wednesday, August 01, 2012

This is my last 72 hours, unplugged. My story while not unique shows how I chose to deal with a "life-emergency" and how grateful I am to have SparkPeople in my life.

I have to agree with what you and everyone else has said. I don't think I could say it any better myself. I will be praying for you and your friend. I will pray that God lead you in this situation and give you the words to speak to your friend. You are a very caring person and it shows in your blog.

    God bless!

To all that took the nine minutes to watch my video blog I want to express my most sincere thanks for taking the time to get to know me better. You are all such amazing people, the weight loss isnít even an issue, itís how best to continue on this path of faith hope and love. Went to the early service this morning and sang louder than I ever thought possible. Iím going to share more in my blog which should be up tonight or tomorrow. I tried to record a live one outdoors but the batteries died on the camera and all was lost. Oh well, must have something more important in store, when He lets me know what it is, I guess youíll find out. Hope youíre having a great weekend and may God bless you today and every tomorrow.

I 100% agree in what you have said here Sprink. It is hard to watch someone go down a bad path, wishing they would see it as not the way to go and do better for themselves. You are a big- hearted person and I told my wife you have true character. I will send prayers your way for you and your family. Sure we all talk about weight loss and healthy life style changes but there is so much more to a person's over all happiness.
My son asked me what do I like best,Facebook or Sparkpeople. I told him hands down Sparkpeople, because when you friend a person on Sparkpeople, they really become your friend, because we all share struggles of a certain type, not friends by association. Wishing you the best Sprink. emoticon

You and your friend are in my thoughts and prayers. Your friend is lucky to have you as a friend; your love and compassion shows through your vlog. I am praying that God delivers her from her addiction and gives her strength and courage. Blessings to you guys.

You have not given up on yourself. You now know you are the only one that can make it happen for you.

You have the power to succeed or fail.

    You have chosen to succeed.

Few baby steps complete a long journey

    Writing is progress!!!

I will keep you and your friend in my thoughts. My family is full of addicts- some who got help and some who refuse. I'm distant from most of my family (they live in LA and I'm in Miami) so I can't be as involved in their lives as I would like, but it's still good to see that at least some of my family has recovered. It is possible... just keep helping your friend and doing all that you can do!

Thinking of you Sprink. I'll definitely keep your friend in my prayers. You are setting a great example for your friend, truly. Thank you for the reminder to not take things for granted.
