Olympic Motivations- I just can't stop

Wednesday, August 01, 2012

I have been feeling very off lately. I feel as if my motivation balloon has been some what deflated. I work 3 -12hour days a week (which are M,W,F) and they are the only days I workout. I do 30min cardio training before I go to work and I feel like that's just not enough. I have been doing good regarding my caloric intact but I just feel that I should be stricter on myself in order to meet the weight loss goal I desire.

Watching the Olympics have motivated me. These individuals are in the peak physical fitness. they work everyday at there craft with 100% dedication and motivation. They have a natural willpower that keeps them focus even if they have the desire to give up. They just keep going!!! When others are sleeping they are working. working, working, working;doing what ever it take to get the gold. They don't give in to the temptations of life, the stay focus. That's what separates us from them. In order to get to that place physically, you must first get there mentally. It is simply mind over matter. They know what they want and what it takes to get it. So, they simple do what it takes to get it. NO IF, AND or, BUTS about it. And if they try and fail they just go on to the next event just that much more motivated then the last because they know that they have worked hard at their goal and they refuse to let 1 failure destroy there whole journey.
This describes my weight loss goals even though yesterday I may not have reached the goal I desired, but I refuse to give up. I'll just wake up tomorrow and try again. I will keep trying til I over come the hurtle and prepare to move on to the next event.

I have to look in the mirror every morning and remind myself why I am dedicated to my weight loss goals; for my health, my self-esteem, to be an example for my girls, and to be able to live a long health life. I am going for the GOLD : )
