One Small Victory - Avoiding the Caffeine Temptation

This afternoon after lunch, I felt really sluggish and started to develop a headache. I really wanted to make a cup of coffee, but past experience has taught me that medicating with caffeine and/or sugar is NOT a good idea - it only makes me feel worse later on.

So, instead I took 2 Excedrin Migraine (store brand - I know it has some caffeine in it) with a big mug of water, and ate my slice of healthy pumpin/coconut pie. Lo and behold, the headache has mostly subsided.

Now it's time to head out for a quick lap of my office building to get some fresh air and sunshine, and hope that the optician calls and says that my new glasses are ready. It's needing the new reading Rx that I'm sure is causing me to be headachy lately.

    Glad you were able to resist! I rely on my caffeine in the morning, but I don't drink it after that. emoticon
