Tip 37 is,

Drink Water Before Meals

Believe it or not, drinking water can be more effective than diet pills when it comes to weight loss. A 2008 study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association found that drinking 16 ounces of water 30 minutes before a meal helped participants eat about 13 percent less. “A lot of people can confuse hunger with thirst, so regularly sipping on water can help keep hunger and cravings at bay,” says Batayneh. “And if you get bored with water, try sipping on green tea or water with a fresh fruit or vegetable slice.”

"Pure water is the world's first and foremost medicine." ~ Slovakian Proverb

"I believe that water is the only drink for a wise man." ~ Henry David Thoreau

I'm trying to drink more water. It's not my favorite drink, but I'm improving.

I'm not a big water drinker, however I do try to get in my 8 glasses a day and definitely one before meals as I have found that it really does help!

Thank you for the tips Val!

I love water! I can actually crave it at times, it is so good and refreshing. I use to drink coffee before dinner, but have been going for an ice cold glass of water, YUM!!!

I am not a fan of plain water, but a cup of coffee while making dinner keeps the munchies at bay. As far as starting the meal with a fuller stomach, tradition had soup as a starter for a reason.

Admire the two quotes. Drink as much water as you can, short of voiding.
