I was just told about the The Food and Nutrition Information Center on the USDA's website
Where you can look up Calories or Nutrients in Food, see dietary guidelines, use food trackers, consumer information, and more.
The dietary guidelines document is worth a read to reinforce the food pyramid and daily amounts required to be healthy.
