Brief recap of weekend

Monday, July 30, 2012

SIL totally surprised and it was a fun party. The campground
was very lush and green. It rained the day we arrived and the
day we left. It was hard to drive all the way home and see
green fields but get closer to home and see most of the corn
already cut for silage to salvage what was there.
The garden kept producing while we were gone and there
were quite a few veggies to pick last night. Out little ladies
were naughty and ventured out of the fence. I fixed fence
last night and again this afternoon. I think I found all the
places where they were tempted to stray. The test will
come tomorrow.
It was a busy day and I found only a few VM from the weekend
which was nice. But the phone calls and service work seem
to come in waves. I have lots of paperwork to finish but I
should have it done early in the morning.
DH goes to the dentist in the morning. His front tooth, held
in by pins, came loose. It should be easily repaired. Wednesday
he judges horiculture at the county fair, then Friday and
Saturday in 2 other counties. There he will judge rabbits,
chickens and maybe a few cats. We want to go see DS in the
PA troupe performance on Saturday. SIL and MIL want to drive
up the night before but I will see how the day goes Friday
before I make final plans. DH will stay at a motel to save
driving time between judging events.
School startes 3 weeks from today. DD has started trying
to get the little ones back on a schedule of going to bed
earlier and getting up on time. I do remember those days.
I did well on nutrition this weekend, for the most part.
I did walk more than when I am home and it was fun
taking the GC to the playgrounds close by the camper.
Have a wonderful evening and thanks for stopping by.

Glad to hear you had a good time. And we all know while away things at home just seem to pile up....always makes me feel like I need a couple more days off. Hope your day goes well for you. I know you are used to being busy so continue on and get done what needs to be done. We will stay healthy together even if we have a piece of cake..... emoticon

Glad you enjoyed your camping! Always take a little time to get back to a normal routine afterwards. Oh, wait, I forgot, your routine is never normal-always a surprise here and there! Hugs!

Sounds like a lovely family trip! Your description brought back some fond memories from my own childhood.

And I'm having a hard time accepting that we're only 3 weeks away from school starting, but it's true here, too!
