One Day at a Time-The catalyst

Monday, July 30, 2012

This morning was the beginning of change. CHANGE IS TREMENDOUSLY HARD. One day at a time. I didnt get up as early as I had intended. Everything is easier in my mind when I plan it the day before. However, I did make it up in time to get myself together and get to the gym for a "Fitness Fusion" class. I even had time to spend a little time in prayer before I went in. Breakfast was a Protein Bar washed down with water as I drove down the street. I AM REALLY OUT OF SHAPE!. I started in December 2011 at 190 pounds and 43.8% body fat. I hired a trainer since I knew I would need the accountability and the expertise using free weights. By February I was 181pounds and 38% body fat. I really started paying attention to what I eat and counting calories. I was determined to loose weight and get strong. In April we had a family crisis which lasted about a month. I slacked off exercise but by the end of May I had dropped down to 168. Just as I started back into trying to get a routine going, Daniel happened. And my world stopped. I lost another 5 pounds just through not eating much. Now I have gained that 5 back through eating the way I did last year and no exercise. My muscles feel like jelly.

Today at the gym, I couldnt even keep up with the instructor. I used to use 10 pound dumbells for the class, now 5 pounds wear me out. I left half way through the class and did 40 min of treadmill walking and went home. I'm still watching my nutrition and calories. I start back with a trainer tomorrow. One day at a time.
