What a productive weekend!!! I finally started to get stuff done!!
Friday was great because I officially started buying stuff for the baby's nursery!! I ordered the rug for her room online because I need that before I can buy the other stuff. Got to make sure those colors all match!! And over my lunch break I went to Home Goods and found the perfect lamp for her room!! I have to spray paint it but it is absolutely perfect!! Yeah!!
Also on Friday, my sister had a Fifty Shades of Grey Pure Romance/Wine tasting party. Very fun!! You wouldn't believe the turn out she had! Normally for an in home shopping party you'd get MAYBE 8 people. Well, 18 showed up!!! Crazy!! It was a good time!!
Little side note for all your pregnant people. . . the consultant brought all sorts of stuff to try out including some roll on pheromone something or other and she informed me that when you're pregnant your hormones are all out of wack. Not news let me tell you!! But the news was that the roll on pheromones stuff could reek like cat urine!! She said, "If you want you can still try it. . ." Um, no thank you!!! This also happened to be the big dead giveaway that my neighbor is expecting!! She didn't try the pheromones either!! Then I noticed her bottled water and she's an avid wine drinker!!! Totally called her on this the next day!
Then on Saturday, my neighbor and I drove down to Ikea to pick up the baby's dresser/changing table!! I'm not usually one to mix and match furniture because I just don't feel like I can ever get it right but I'm straying from my norm in the baby's room. And thrilled about it!! Ikea has this great gray-brown color that I'm really hoping looks good in the room I've got planned! And it's extra long at 63" so it will be great for a changing table too! Way longer than the ones I was looking at that match the crib specifically.
After Ikea we then headed down to Babies R' Us to register. We got most of it done but I had to stop after an hour and a half. It's just so much work!!!! Plus, we had to get going anyhow so it worked out well. But I'm going to have to go back for round two soon.
By the time I got home I was beat and fell asleep for three hours! I didn't wake up until about 7:30! But I didn't let the late time stop me! C and I headed to Joann's so we could get a headstart on our Sunday projects. And we hit up Target so we could get her much anticipated school supplies!! Seriouly, what kind of 12 year old actually is itching to go school supply shopping? She totally was and I'd promised I'd take her so we knocked it out at 9:15 pm on a Saturday night!!!
THEN on Sunday, I got even more done!!! Paul and I woke up and immediatly got started on my closet. I had a dresser in there that was taking up a ton of much needed space. We ended up having to move EVERY piece of furniture in my room to make room for the dresser but in the end it will be worth it! The dresser was moved, the nightstand moved to the other side of the bed, the bed moved over a few inches and the other dresser moved down a few inches. And surprisingly I don't hate it! I kind of wish I would have done this a long time ago!! Now I just need to organize the closet a little so he can actually move his stuff in. And C helped me vaccuum, dust and just generally clean up in there too!
We did some rearranging in the living room too. I've been trying to fill this awkward space in the front of my house for almost five years and it never seems to look right except for at Christmas when the tree goes there. I swear the spot is there just for Christmas trees. But then I saw an episode of the Nate Berkus show and it totally inspired me!! So we got some stuff moved around in there and I have a table to order in two weeks that will complete the look!
And finally on Sunday, C and I followed up on FIVE Pinterest projects while Paul was golfing!! We got four 12 x 12 canvases and made some stuff I'd been seeing on there for a while. And for the fifth project, we took the four canvases and attached them to my Ikea bookcase as swinging doors. (See this post:

While waiting for paint to dry, I also managed to put away most of the stuff left over from the benefit the weekend before, did the dishes and cleaned off the counter tops!!
I felt so accomplished last night when we went to bed!! I FINALY feel like we're getting ready for baby!!
You might be saying, "What about working out?" Well, none of that officially happened but I was on my feet a lot and moving around WAY more than I had been recently so I still feel pretty good about the weekend! I could have eaten better but really even that was pretty much kept in check!!
Today though, I did bring in my gym bag to work! I wanted to got to Joann's again to pick up some foam and fabric for another Pinterest follow up (I bought a couple of end tables at Ikea to make three of these bad boys for in front of a low window in that front space in the living room:

And tonight, another daycare appointment!! I don't recall if I mentioned it or not but the other night I made 40 phone calls to daycares within 2-4 miles of my house. Yes, 40. And of those, I think we only have 4-5 appointments set up. I hope we really fall in love with one of them!!
I'm going to milk this new found energy into everything! I love feeling like I'm getting stuff done!!
