Moving Forward

I definitely started to move forward this week, and it feels pretty good! Unfortunately my hair continues to fall out, but it seems to be a bit better in the shower, but there is a lot on the ground and sink when I go to style or comb it.....not sure why I see a difference in one area and not one in another....but there it is....my doctors appointment was moved from July to mid August, so I have a bit longer to wait to decide what I am going to do about my meds. That is still incredibly frustrating....

But moving forward....it has been a pretty darn good week. I managed to get up 3 times this week and work out with kettlebells and the dvd that goes with it. A 20 minute torture! I actually like it, but this was the first week I made it through the full 20 minutes! There are one or two things I cant do, due to past injuries, but I do a different exercise during those times. It works out I think. These videos work for me because they are only 20 minutes...but there is a lot packed into that time frame, and I definitely feel the burn when I am done (and the rest of the day!). I couldnt even talk myself out of working out because it sounded silly telling myself I would get 20 minutes of "extra" sleep.

Also, I kept to my food this week for the most part....there was a couple of days I met friends for lunch...tough to figure out what to order at a bar type place. Stuck with a salad, with dressing on the side, and dipped my salad in the dressing...Also had a retirement party with just appetizers, filled up on fruit and stuck with water...Graduation party...well had a little of everything there, but in small doses! Oh well. Gotta enjoy things at some point. My biggest thing to over come has been making and taking my own coffee. In the past, I always stopped at the gas station, then the donut temptation would get to me...this way, I can use my own sugar free creamer and my own splenda....I also have been getting better at taking my own food...which reminds me, I need to make up some salads to take to work next week. I love that chicken salad with the grapes and cranberries and celery in it....yum!

This week will be busy for me, we actually call it "Hell Week"....we have 14 other people coming in from other territories to help with all the registrations we have. Unfortunately I will miss my daughters first volleyball practice, which I am soooo bummed about...
I really am trying to keep a better attitude and try not to let everything get me down. It does help to have to focus on work now.....I am not sure what I will do if I have to change meds, that will be tough while I work, but I guess I will cross that bridge when I get there.
We are going to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, and I am pretty sure I will splurge just a little for breakfast....but I may do a 10 minute kettle bell video later....
