I forgot to weigh in and do this update yesterday so here's my goals update for this week:
This week my goals are almost the same as the week before
Week 3 Goals:
8 - 12 glasses of water a day
2 servings fruit, 4 servings of veggies a day or more - unmet on one day, otherwise
Monitor my BG 3 times a day monday, wed and friday
but not m/w/f
Work out 20 to 30 minutes a day (alternating strength days with cardio days, stretch all days)
Eat appropriate portions and prepare at least 5 DTOUR meals this week
Stay within my calorie range every day - unmet one day I was under, one day over, and one forgot to track
Log in to DTOUR online at least once this week
Measure my waist and Take another "before pic"
Call my diabetes coach
See my Endo, get lab results
(I think I wrote about this previously)
Metformin 2 x a day
Write 3 blog entries this week, at least one of which is about success and gratitude - hmm unmet. I don't think I did a gratitude entry this week. I have however decided to start a gratitude journal in which I will write every night before bed. More on that in another entry after I do it (I'll share pics)
So I feel really good about this week over all. I only have 22 more minutes of exercise needed to beat my work out goal today, so I'll likely beat it today since I'm going to the gym for my strength training and did 10 minutes on the Wii Fit for fun :) so actually 12 minutes of strength training will meet my goal, anything else is bonus this week.
I lost 10 pounds since I last saw my Endo, so they were pleased with that. Tomorrow I weigh in with the Equality Weight Loss Challenge, so I'm excited about that.. It's a potluck breakfast weigh in, so I have to decide what to make for people. I'm thinking of bringing my vegan chai lattes and maybe something with avacado since I found them on sale. I've learned several new healthy meals and snacks to make this week, so maybe I'll bring one of those with the latte.
And yesterday I road my trike father than I have before without using the electric motor (but still dragging it along after me and that darn thing is 45 pounds) I did use the motor on a couple hills for brief bursts and at the end my hips and thighs were really starting to move from good burn to serious pain so I stopped pedaling the last block home and just coasted it. But over all, I went further than before, and used the motor less :) yay me!
All in all a good week.
