Had final hair appointment

So today was my last appointment with the gal I have been going to for 7 years now. She was an American gal who really did a great job with color and cuts. Now I will have to. Find someone else which isn't the easiest thing living Mexico. the Mexicans have very different hair than me and to find someone who can do blonde highlights right will certainly be a challenge! I will try the person that my gal is recommending but unfortunately they won't be as close. I used to just walk down the hill to my gal. Oh well, the good news is that i have naturally curly hair so cuts are easy enough but the color will be the test. I am just not ready to go natural and gray.

    I don't ever want to be gray either. It is hard to find someone that does your hair the way you like. My sister used to do mine and she no longer works in cosmetology so I am always looking. Right now, I am happy to have a lady in our small town that does a good job. Her shop is only 4-1/2 blocks away. Good Luck!

    Finding a new hairdresser is hard and even harder in Mexico. They aren't used to thin blond hair, never mind the coloring and highlights. Good luck with the new girl!
I have found a salon where I can get a decent cut, like you I have wavy hair, so it;s forgiving. I do my own color, just get a box at the supermarket and call it good. I have never had a salon color done and I'm used to doing my own. (did it this morning)

    Oh, I know what you mean, I had to find a new hairdresser, too, recently and it was a struggle but I think I finally solved the problem!

    I am aware that replacing a hairdresser is really hard. I have been lucky with my present one. I have followed her from several different locations over the years, but she knows my hair and what works. She is a jewel and I do not know what I would do without her. Unfornutity, my hair is not natural curly so I have to have perms and not all work on my hair. Hopefully the person she reccommended will be just what you need. Have a great day

    I hope you find the right person - it helps so much to have 'good hair' and feel like we look good! I used to be reluctant and afraid to 'go natural and gray' but it's a lot easier to deal with and I've decided it's not that bad after all for me - each person has to make their own decision, of course, and I wish you the very, very best luck in finding a good person to handle this beauty aspect for you!

    It's always tough to find the right person to make our hair look beautiful for sure. Definitely interview them first & maybe see what they can do in person during one of their appts. You don' t what some inexperienced person trying to do something that is way over their head.

    Aw, I'm sorry, Sallie...it is very hard when you find a good hair person and have to change :( And your hair is really adorable, too! Be sure to take pictures taken from different angles to your next haircutter so that they can replicate what this gal did as much as possible. When my guy left town, I went through about three really horrid hair people before finally finding a woman who's terrific, and I feel so relieved! I know you will, too, once you've found just the right person to care for your hair once again. It's almost like losing a good MD!

    Good luck! I had talked to several telling them I want to cover the gray, now that I am up and out. The were telling me "Oh you don't want to color your hair again". Hate it when people tell me what I want. Finally ordered the color on line and had my daughter do it. Wasn't exactly what I wanted a bit tooo red, but my hair grows so fast and wearing it short I don't worry about that anymore. Good luck in getting one that will listen and knows how to work with your hair.

    Oh it sucks when you have to find someone new to trust with your hair! I had the worst experience with a cut while Susi was on the biggest loser. That's why I haven't seen anyone else since she came back and started cutting hair again :-)

    Best wishes on finding just what you want. Personally, I love being gray. I look like a grandma and that is my cherished role. I also really, really surprise people when they see how fit I am. I love running by some young runner yelling, "Old lady passing!!" Okay, maybe my sense of humor is warped. You do look absolutely beautiful as a blonde. More power to you!!
