Well, that's disheartening.

So, I've always been a skinny guy. As in a toothpick. A shrimp. The guy who disappears if he turns sideways. Yeah, that guy. And I've proven repeatedly that I can eat a TON and not gain any weight. I just couldn't understand why that was.

A few days ago, I found Spark People. I started tracking my calories, and setting nutrition goals. What I've learned is that even though I can eat a lot, I don't do it habitually. Without the habit, I don't gain. So I've got to teach my body to always want more food, and of course exercise to make the pounds the kind that I can be proud of.

What's frustrating to me is that I feel like I eat a lot more than I apparently do. I've really been trying here! But, even with the frustration, there is still hope. I HOPE that by tracking my nutrition, I'll be better able to keep in the habit so that I can gain weight. So if you read this and you think "I know just what he needs!", go ahead. Comment or message me.

    Interesting problem to have!

My ex-hubby was former Navy guy, worked in the kitchen. He was always skinny and wirey, and didn't particularly eat a lot. But he liked to tell a story about some dude trying to enlist and was just a few pounds 8-9? underweight. So one day he wanted to try again to enlist, and ate 10 pounds of bananas just before arriving at the recruitment office... And got enlisted just find, weighed the right amount!!

I've no idea if this is an Army legend or not, but can't hurt to try!

I don't know just what you need to do, except have your thyroid checked. How many of us would love to walk in your shoes. I with you all the luck in the world. except be careful where you start gaining.
