So... I haven't blogged in a bit. I fell off the wagon a little and put on a couple of pounds, not much but am deciding whether to update my scale or just wait until I catch up again with where my slider is right now. It almost seems like cheating to count the weight again when I lose it.
I am taking two classes (12 hours a week) on line right now and it might be part of my problem. Too much sitting in front of the computer and doing homework, taking up valuable exercise time, etc. But my Russian class ends next month and the Spanish class the month after that. Hopefully I can get into a French class that starts the end of next month (in case your wondering, I am attempting to learn the 10 most widely spoken languages). But from now on, I am going to take only one class at a time (other than inevitable overlaps with starting times).
My garden did pretty well, I was able to can about 24 pints of tomatoes, made a whole bunch of quick pickles and canned about 5 pints of those. I also got a lot of garlic and peppers. Something ate a lot of my onions when I first planted them and the deer have desimated the okra.
I think I will post in a couple of groups I've joined here for suggestions on a food dehydrater. I have one but it doesn't have temperature settings (just high and low) and I want to upgrade. I've used my other one to make beef jerky, dry pecans and a couple of other things. I want to try some herbs this year and all the sites reference specific temps for various things, thus the desire to upgrade.
Anyhow, I exercised with L. Sansone 3 times this past week
back to 8 glasses a water a day
and have been trying really hard to "mindfully eat"
and lost a pound and a half last week
but am not where my ticker currently has me...
