July 27, 2012 ~ Not perfect...but OK!

I've been on track, mostly...OK - I've had several less than stellar days...but I'm OK. I've gotten rid of 5 pounds in the last 3 weeks and will continue to refine my "practice" of fat loss and muscle building. Who knows if I'll ever get it right! I've been practicing for 33 years! (I'm 54, but only started paying attention to health when I got married.)

I'll never be perfect, and I try not to get caught up in pursuing perfection...although there are times when I'm disappointed that I can't achieve it! Silly me.

I've been eating clean and lifting weights along with spinning and outdoor cycling.

We leave for our beach vacation on Tuesday and I will continue to focus on the goal. It may take a while to reach it, but I have time....and if I don't have time, it won't matter.

    persistence, not perfection...

perfection is what makes us think "all or nothing" and if we slip, might as well forget it...WRONG...pick ourselves up automatically and start "fresh" the very next meal, the very next day ... unless you are punishing yourself with your lifestyle, you know it is what is best for you and makes you proud of yourself...

  emoticon just remember no one is prefect!! What's the fun in that. Enjoy your beach vacation and continue to focus on what you need to do. You will reach your goal, together we all can do this. Setting small goals seems to get us through the large goal in the end. emoticon emoticon Judy
