Two years no fast food!

Friday, July 27, 2012

It just dawned on me that I haven't had fast food for approximately two years. I don't miss it at all. A few months ago I took my daughter to McDonald's. She ordered a burger and fries. I took a bite of her burger and was overwhelmed with the taste of salt and fat. When I used to eat it I never notices it. I think it's a way to get people to like it. For starters, salt makes you thirsty so that's were sodas come in. I remember eating it and taking big gulps of soda. Also, the taste of salt and fat can makes us crave it because it tastes soooo good. For instants, most people love the smell of fat ladened fast food while it is cooking. For some of us think fatty foods are a great comfort food.

Here's to life without fast food!

I know what you mean. I can really taste all the sugar and chemicals in coke. Can't believe I had to have coke all the time. Good for you. emoticon

Good for you! This is one of my goals too! So far it has been 6 days - no fast food other than a diet coke :-)
