So I've been back just over a week now and I've lost 12 pounds so far!
That seems like a lot and I know I shouldn't expect to keep that kind of trend going. Actually Sparkpeople is designed for us to lose only 1-2 pounds a week. So I expect it to slow down some for this next week.
I'm still really happy about it and I feel so much better than i did a week ago. My body feels tighter than it did a week ago. Even if I didn't lose any weight, I'd still be happy about how much better my body feels from the strength training I've done so far.
I also feel much healthier... as part of coming back to Sparkpeople, I've decided to go Vegetarian. It's made my food choices so much easier. I haven't really had to worry about going over my calorie limit since most vegetarian meals are naturally lower in calories. Something else I didn't think about is that vegetarian meals are CHEAPER too. I'm not spending as much for lunch as I'm used to. I've only eaten meat once this week and it really wasn't a choice I made... my neighbor cooked a meal and brought it to my house. I know I didn't have to eat it, but it was one of my favorites.
Overall this week went very easy for me. I didn't feel like I was depriving myself of anything, just being healtheir and that's really my goal. I hope next week is more of the same.
