Anyone who knows me, knows that I dislike hard work and sweating. However, for the past few weeks I have been working out. I even push mowed my lawn (which is no small feat in 93 degree Louisiana heat). Instead of thinking about exercise as a hardship and trying to avoid it, I look forward to it. I stopped making excuses for why i couldn't work out. No time. No energy. No equipment. No space. Now I make NO excuses!
I have reached my calorie burning goal for the week, but that's not going to stop me. Exercise is such a stress reliever for me lately. It is 30 minutes of "me" time. Time that I am spending to make myself better, stronger, more fit, and happier.
SparkPeople definitely changed this girl's mind about exercising. I never expected to like working out. I am a changed woman! My thinking is clearer than its ever been. I am more focused on my goals. I also have confidence that I will reach my goals! The numbers speak for themselves. This month, I am minus 18 lbs!! One month....I can't wait to see myself in 6 months!
My new little chant while I am sweating and burning up those unwanted calories is no excuses, no excuses, no excuses- just results. I say it over and over and over in my head if I have too. And you know what? I now make no excuses.
