Answer me this: am I the only person that yells at myself when running? I tell myself stupid things like, "Don't be a lazy ass, pick up your damn feet and RUN!" or, "You're NOT going to be the person that WALKS across the finish line, so get a f***ing MOVE ON!" (Yes, I have a potty mouth.) Does anyone else do this? If you do, does it help? I think it helps me. At least, I do end up moving a bit faster.
You know what else helps? Music. Holy crap, I never knew. I just got myself an mp3 player that fits on my pocket. It was cheap, only $25 or so, but my other player is about the size of my new Galaxy S3 phone (read: not conducive to running with). I never thought much about it, but listening to music whilst running is amazing! I also like using the word 'whilst.'
So I'm on target with my running and fitness, not so much with the nutrition aspect. I will freely admit that I cave to junk more that I should (it's not often that I have goodies from my native land in the house, but when I do, it is SUCH a temptation!), but I have been logging everything, and I have been cutting the calories. The scale hasn't moved yet, but I guess it will in good time.
Good news: I'm still off the soda! Over a month now, and I can count on one hand the number of times I've had a diet coke or dew. Water is my new best friend. Is there too much water I can drink in a day though? I find that I'm drinking anywhere between 90 and 120 ounces a day, sometimes more. Overkill?
That's all for now, I'm up past my bedtime.
Tomorrow will be great!
