Is that a beautiful dish or what??! Summer bounty from tomatoes grown right outside my window with chick peas, fresh basil, avocado and shrimp. With a little splash of Zesty Italian dressing and "voile" . . . sheer perfection. Oh and here's a little something special . . . I toasted a piece of Ezekiel bread and cut it up for "crunch" in my salad . . . was a stroke of genius don't you think . . . well if you like that kind of thing.
Ok, so that was fun . . . now, by popular request I want to show you my new favorite pottery coffee/tea mug . . .
I had to retire my old favorite because it got cracked and wouldn't hold liquids anymore. There was a local farmer's market in a nearby town that I checked out Saturday and this was my wonderful find. A favorite mug is like an intimate friend I love to spend time with . . . it had to be special. I love everything about it . . .
The dish next to it is a "baked apple" dish . . . just in time for apple season. I can't wait to try it out. I love baked apples. Who needs sugar with sweet juicy apples with cinnamon? Hummm . . think I need to try one right now . . .
Ok, now I have to show you my beautiful roses . . so they will be forever archived . . .
My DH is so sweet . . . I gave him some "eye candy" the other day (I won't go into that part, I'll let you use your imagination, more fun anyway) and this was my reward. Guess I should do that more often, huh? I do something unexpected every once and a while . . just for fun. Hey . . . after nearly 42 years of marriage, he's still wants to look . . . . I'm a lucky (blessed) girl . . . don't you think?
Well, off to try out my "baked apple" dish. Not too good at the "self portrait" thing, but I think this one will do. Hello everyone . . . good to see you. I adore all of my SP peeps . . . thanks for stopping by.
