Today I was due for a lower body ST workout and decided to try something new. I have a set of 6 workout dvd's that come from the land down under. They are called "Aussie Fit" and Gunn and I did the Great Legs workout today. The workout is 30 minutes which includes a warm up and cool down and mainly targets the upper legs, buns and inner thighs. The fitness group in these workout dvd's are very fit, very enthusiastic and bring a new twist to old favorites such as lunges, inner thigh toners and squats. They change the movements in the slightest way to maximize results. I can really feel the difference from the normal squats and lunges I've done all my life. When the cool down stretch is over there is an option for a Firm Buns workout but Gunn and I decided that we'd had enough for today and need to save some leg energy for working outside. I really recommend this workout as well as the other Aussie Fit workouts I've done. I got mine at the Dollar Store for, you guessed it...a buck each, but I bet you could google Aussie Fit and find the dvd's somewhere. They are excellent workouts and believe me, if you ever do the Cardio workouts you will be DYING! They have a different way of working you that you can really feel during the workout and especially the next day. I will definitely make this Great Legs workout a part of my regular routine! As I try the rest of them I will let you know what I think of them.
I heard from my son in Alaska and he's doing great up there. They are having a better season than last year so he's working an average of 12-14 hours a day with some days upwards of 20 or so hours and he has been promoted to supervisor and is totally in charge of all the caviar. Yes, he's the Egg Man! (not the walrus...kookoo ka choo!) He sounds up, healthy and excited to be making some real money this season. He even got a job offer to stay after the season working for a private company that would have him shovelling snow from streets and business parking lots about 4-5 hours a day. He would be paid $32 an hour so the short days would still be financially lucrative and a friend of his got the same offer, so they could share an apartment real cheap. I'm hoping this works out for him!
After our workout I made Gunn and I a big white egg omelet with one duck egg (YUM) and lowfat cheese, top round steak leftovers and lowfat cheddar cheese. It was

if I do say so myself. I made it big, so we could share, and I had to flip it with two spatulas, LOL!
My hubby didn't think he was really an omelet man but he chowed it down and gave me a big smooch afterwards, thanking me for such a good lunch. I usually always make us lunch after a workout but rarely do I get such a nice kiss and compliment. Gotta make these omelets more often! They are a great way to clean out the fridge lefovers too, LOL!
Today I'm going to be working in the yard, transplanting a few herbs and doing the endless job of weeding. Eventually we will take the dog for a walk and round out the day with a nice meal. Not sure what dinner will be yet but I know it will include a big garden salad full of fresh veggies and my homemade strawberry-blueberry vinegar.
I hope you all have a great day and Spark On Dudes!!!
