Its day 2318 of my Spark journey! emoticon

I attended my Spark Live class this morning - I had to miss it last week due to my travel schedule. It feels good to be moving in the right direction again. I spent the majority of last week visiting a good friend in Nevada, and then driving back to Oregon together for her annual two-week visit. It was much more fun than I had thought it was going be, and I had such a good time.

I started off the trip well, hitting my goal of fruits/veggies and water each day, but towards the end of my visit, I got away from that a bit. We went on a cupcake shop tour of Las Vegas, hitting 4 different cupcake shops. It sounded like a fun idea in the beginning, but it resulted in eating an ASTRONOMICAL number of cupcakes! Yikes! I was proud of how much water I was able to take in during our 19-hour drive, and that we packed healthy snacks and meals, only stopping to eat at an actual restaurant once.

I've struggled to get back on track since I got home, I'm overindulging in the good food and drinks of a perfect Portland summer. I need to rein it in! With our upcoming move and lots of orders I've received on my website, I've been really stressing over having time to do everything I need to do, and my workouts have suffered. I got off my affirmations while I was away, and haven't started back with them.

Time for a new plan!


emoticon Weekly WOO HOO: Facing the scale. I haven't weighed in probably a month, and I've been feeling as thought I've gained 20 pounds, but I faced my fears.

Weight loss progress: +5, which is better than the 20 pounds I feel I've gained! I've been away from home a lot this summer, lots of visitors, and TOM is coming any day now. That number could most definitely be worse!

Update on last week's goals: I didn't actually have any, since I didn't attend class last week.

Goals for the coming week: Lose 1-2 pounds!
1. Go back to tracking food. I haven't done this in awhile, as I was trying a new approach, but I need to go back to what works. I updated my goals on SP, found my new calorie range, and I need to do my best at tracking my foods each day. At least tracking breakfast and lunch. I've got a brutal work schedule in the coming days, and that is always a challenge to track around.
2. Add physical activity EVERY DAY. Even if it just a little. I'm going to do Tabata on my days that I'm working (when I usually don't get in any extra exercise - 11 hours on my feet at work is usually all I can handle!)
3. Get in my water
4. Affirmations every day, even if it's only writing it one time.
