I am adjusting..!

Wednesday, July 25, 2012

Ok things arent how i like them.. hubby after many years of being off weekends..(by the way hes 62) now he has to work weekends.. and only ONE day off.. which is thursday.. ok i am dealing with it.. and we refinanced the house.. so payments are a lot lower and we will never pay off the house.. oh well .. and tried to lower the cable by going with dish but we still have a year to go on contract.. and the lowest it looks like we can go .. and still not many stations.. is 67 dollars.. now that sucks.. we have only family type channels.. and not much else.. i am pissed at that.. but ok.. will deal.. and cut lower.. also went with Metro Pcs.. pay as you go.. and its not too bad.. cause can use my phone for interest too.. so cutting 50 dollars.. so thats one good thing.. so we still dont know how much hubby is getting paid.. so thats what is bugging us.. but hey i am dealing..
I am still walking and doing other exercises and keeping busy so i dont get too frustrated.. the one good thing.. my son and his gf is going to give us some help so we can watch movies and some shows we cant get.. they will work it out for us.. so have to keep going and think positive that things happen for a reason and we will make it thru no matter what.. !!
I have lost inches.. dont know about pounds since i dont have a scale.. so not to worry i know i will get back to my weight i was at!

Can understand your frustration. Went from one income to half that within a month 4 1/2 years ago. Finally getting credit back on track. Hope all goes well.

My retirement came early for me with having to go on disability..my income was cut in half...Hubby's company closed but thankfully got a new job which was out of town though but paid really well. Thankfully our house had been paid for several years before all this happened..Then with hubby working off and hating it, we decided it was almost time for him to take early retirement..so he worked like crazy for 2 more years at this new place and we pinched pennies so much and got all our bills entirely paid off in 2 years..except for one vehicle payment. We then took one of our money market funds and had a payment sent to us each month which was the amount of the vehicle payment..so he got to retire at 63. He is 66 now and I'm 61 and we both do not regret it...we still pinch pennies and have remodeled the entire house ourselves only when we had extra money to pay for the supplies..we have one bathroom left and will get it completed soon. We raise our own garden now and have a flock of chickens for eggs and hubby hunts for meat each fall and winter..We never go out to eat now but eat healthier. I shop only the sales at the local grocery. Since we live 50+miles from nearest Walmarts or large town, we only shop over there once a month for necessities and then we usually stock up..We keep ourselves involved in our home and craft projects and family and church activities. And we both love life. Oldest son paid for a motel room to come down to visit this past June..so life is good.

We've had to cut expenses quite a lot in the past couple of years. It's hard and it gets tiring not being able to do some of the things friends can. I think your consistency with your exercise will help relieve the stress. emoticon
