As some of you know, I'm building a wooden kayak. I have never built anything in my life but they say you don't need woodworking skills to do this so I decided to go for it.
It has been slow going as it's been much too hot to apply epoxy. I've had to wait, and wait, and wait for it to cool down. I finally got some cooler drier air so I could fiberglass the outside of the hull.
Here is the beginning!
The left side has fiberglass and a coat of epoxy. The right side is just fiberglass. The fiberglass disappears when it's saturated with epoxy.
The deck is put together but not yet aligned.
This is the plate that's just behind the cockpit. It's a beautiful feature.
There is still a lot of work left to do but I am very happy with it so far. I will keep you posted!
