"Respect your efforts, respect yourself. Self-respect leads to self-discipline. When you have both firmly under your belt, that's real power."
I have been reading up on self discipline lately (I will get to an interesting website I found in a minute). I have been away from Spark for awhile (a few weeks but it's been even longer since I blogged). I started Insanity 3 weeks ago and had a really bad fibro flare-up. I had a to take a few days off because the pain and exhaustion was just too much!
After that 5 day break I decided to re-start week 1. I am now in week 2...so far so good. I have been working on getting up at 5am everyday. It has been going well and my body is getting used to it. I did get up at 6:30 AM this morning but that as because I was up and down with my partner all night because she was sick. I have been making a daily to-do list and loving the fact that I cross so many things off each day. I attribute that to my early start. I have a schedule:
Feed the cats
Eat (while on the computer)
continue on with daily to-do list
Every time it is sunny(we have so few of those days here in NW Washington) I make time to go out and work in the yard or like yesterday I had a little fibromyalgia flare-up so I went outside to read in the sun for awhile.
I had been searching for some structure in my schedule since I graduated and I was truly inspired by this 6 part blog entry on self discipline:
I still have some things I am working on with accomplishing certain daily tasks but I will probably blog about that later. Have a great day everyone!
