Got up early this morning and got myself together. Set out to go to my two places. The first was the furtherest in distance and I knew I needed to really fluff it up, clean the shelves and put in a lot of new merchandise. I had not picked up my check from last month as it is not ready until the 10th and then we had Debbie roll in, no air conditioning and no ac in car. Then Hubby got sick so I could not get there until today. I was excited to see how much I had sold last month and what has sold this month. The lady that runs this really works for her dealers and she do not try to get lower prices for you. She will call and make an offer if the customer insist, but usually, she will allow the customary 10% and go on from there. Most of my items do not even carry the 10% discount at this location. It is a great tourist area and they seem to come with money to spend. I sell small items from cases there as it is easy to pack up and take home. I had some great artist pieces that I took in today and she was excited about them. Her remark was they will not be here long. I removed some things that did not fit there as they had been in the case nad no interest had been shown on them. She told me she had only had two people look at them, so I decided they could move on and put in something that will sell.
On to the other spot where I was on Sunday. I went into move things around where the table had sold on Monday. When I got to the booth, the lady that was there that day had moved things around for me and it looked great. I was talking with the sales clerk there today and told her I would be happy if she just sold everything. I got home about 15 minutes before Hubby. We did a couple of things here and had to go and meet with one of his former co workers. We decided to stop and get a salad and while there the lady called me from the afternoon. When the phone rang and the name popped up, I remarked they closed an hour ago. She told me that she had sold another large piece of furniture and six small items. She wanted to let me know so I could get something in to feel the space. I told Hubby that the move to the new space was paying for itself. Another dealer was in there this afternoon and came up to introduce herself to me. She remarked how good my space looked and that it was inviting to the customers. I told her I had moved from the other side and she told me it looked like two different shops. I knew this was the best spot for me when I looked at it. It was only $10 more a month and it has so much more going for it.
I was going to paint the walls in the space, but I am not sure if we will have time. Everything I seem to hang up goes away, so maybe I should not temp fate by changing the color.
We got home and Hubby is on medication for his infected sinus. He has to take it for 10 days and he is getting so forgetful. He cannot seem to remember 5 minutes. I asked if he had read the side effects of the meds. Nooooooo, why do that. He comes in and sits out in the sun each afternoon for about 2 hours. I am wondering if this is one of the drugs that you are not suppose to be exposed to the sun. He has never taken this one before. All this has developed since he started taking this. If that is not the problem, I do not know what we are going to do. He has never had a problem like this before. Sunday morning we were on the way to the market and he ran past our first exit. I said what......his remark well you were talking and I forgot.......Laughed and asked him if they had brian transplants......My understand at the docs was this a newer antibiotic. He threw away the fact sheet that came with it and he had the bottle with him so I could not research it. When he finishes it and takes the bottle out of his pocket, I am going to do the research, We do not want this one again if this is his side effect.
