I feel unstoppable!

I am returning to Sparkpeople after a looooooong absence. I started using Sparkpeople in October 2009, and at that time, i had a 6 mo old baby, and my focus was on vanity weight loss (as opposed to health issue related weight loss). At that time, I wasn't even at an unhealthy BMI; I just wanted a Hollywood body. And you know what? It didn't last very long. I returned to sparkpeople May 2012, and my mindset was 180 degrees different. After a friend started posting pro-vegetarian articles on facebook and recommending raw, whole food documentaries, I realized I was missing out on so much. Weight loss IS important; the less stress our body feels, the better it works. But I wasn't optimizing my diet. Since I cut back on animal products I don't feel starved or deprived! Produce is so filling, and fruits provide a lot of natural sugar which has replced my need for processed candy. I feel great, my skin looks vibrant, and the weight is coming off effortlessly. I also eased up on the super intnse workouts. I run or do Insanity workouts 3-4 days a week, then I spend 2-3 days walking or performing soothing yoga. I learned that low intensity, soothing exercise like yoga/walking are as beneficial as all the intense cardio in the world because it links mind AND body. I used to think the big picture wasn't important; I know now that it makes all the difference in my weight loss journey, or rather, my lifestyle makeover :)
