So my last post was in January, as I was trying to get a hold on my workload, dating life and work in workouts, all while trying to control my portions with healthy choices.
Lucky me, it only lead to 5 lbs of weight gain, but that 5 lbs can quickly go out of control if I'm not careful. For me, workouts allow me to have more choices in what I'm eating and that has helped me maintain weight loss, but when you come home tired and hungry, the last thing you want to do is workout and comfort food takes the sting out of a bad day.
Due to a recent move, the boxes that were piled in the corner left me feeling unlike myself until ALL items had been put away. There seemed to be another excuse of why I wasn't putting myself first. Then, the summer visitors came that resparked my running interest I had been missing since my running partner became pregnant. Only been three days in and so far, it feels great! I'm very fortunate to have a boyfriend that inspires me daily to seek the things that bring balance to my life. He knows that running is like breathing to me (by the way...very slow runner), and it makes me feel good when I hear he is proud of me.
