It's been a month to forget so far.... It all started on July 8th when my modem lost contact with the outside world. From that time until this afternoon, July 24th, I've installed a new modem and it didn't fix the problem. I have spoken to AT & T service repair at least twice a day.
They sent out a repairman three times. The first one went to my daughter's house the first time, why we don't know. (and he could NOT leave her house, go to mine and fix the problem because he's not allowed to do anything but work on the "ticket" he had". The second guy, never showed up.
The third guy at least got the ball rolling. He realized that there were many calls in this same time frame from people in my development.... Today...here I am!! Of course, neither the repairman (who was great...he came back today to see if he could help me with this situation) nor I believe that it's a fix. He replaced something outside wherever the main line in to the entire place comes in from the street. He says "he thinks someone made a call to the RIGHT person and that's what got it working.
I JUST DON'T CARE ANY MORE!! JUST MAKE IT STAY UP AND RUNNING AS I NEED THIS LIFELINE TO THE WORLD!!!!
