The Treadmill

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Yes, I got on the treadmill. I was not the least bit happy about it. I am glad it is nice today. If I had to walk on the treadmill every day, that just might dampen my enthusiasm just a bit.

No, if I had to get on that treadmill every day in the name of being able to walk a few miles versus not walking a few miles, I would do it. I don't think I would me so happy, but I would do it any way.

Just walking is still so amazing to me, I wonder if I will ever get used to it!

Thank you so much to all those who encouraged me! You are terrific people!

Good for you! I prefer walking outdoors or at the mall when it's too hot to venture outside. I find the treadmill boring, but I find watching TV or a favorite DVD can help take my mind off the mundane aspect of it.

I like watching TV while on the treadmill. I used to sit for a friend of mines brother and she had a treadmill. I would put my laptop up on the dresser and watch a movies while I walk .

The treadmill is deathly boring, walking outside is much nicer and when your able to enjoy the scenery with a friend or your dog. You do have do find things you like to do to keep up the enthusiasm, it just doesn't work if you have to force yourself to do something you don't want to do.

    Good for you!
Do you do anything while on the treadmill? Like listen to music, read a book, or watch a movie? Doing so might make the treadmill time easier to swallow.

Great, absolutely great! I completely understand about treadmills, they really aren't the most exciting piece of fitness equipment...but hey, you did it.

And now, you have inspired me to go for a walk. Thanks for sharing.
