I finally got a phone call for an interview of one of the jobs I applied for. Yeah. I will go for the interview to see what the job and schedule would be like and really to know what are the options out there for me. I now am officially a RN (registered nurse) so that may help on the hiring part also. I am nervous, not really about the interview, but if I did take a new job it would be starting all over again which will have it's own stresses in itself. I have been feeling more comfortable in my current job, but I still have feelings that I want to leave. The more I feel this way, the more I feel comfortable with leaving.
I did call a counsellor today to arrange an appointment. It was scary. I will be getting set up with a career counsellor who can help me develop some better coping skills as well as help me work through and think about if this career (or nursing area) is right for me. I am looking forward to this. I know it will be a lot of work- especially with coping skills and it will be scary to me, but in the long run, I'll be a better person because of it.
As for crossfit- I have decided to change my membership for next month to be unlimited- so I will start going more often. Yeah! I love it so much. I like the community as well as the workouts and the way it makes me feel afterwards. I was told there is a competition in January that I can work towards entering as well- which I think I will.
This summer (besides my work drama) has been pretty good. DH and I have gone camping 3 times already and have at least 2 more times planned. This past weekend we went to a place that we had to boat across and down a big ole' river, then hike a mile across land to another lake called George lake. It's a lake unpopulated by civilization. There is maybe 3 or 4 buildings on the lake, and it's a large lake. Great fishing, clear, clean water, soft sandy beaches. Beautiful. No electricity and no running water all weekend! We had so much fun. A group of 10 of us went there and did a bit of work on the cabin that was build back in the 1940's. My brother is on this cabin's maintenance crew so we went to help out and have fun. It was a great time. Very hot weather, but we just cooled down in the lake.
This next weekend we're going to a different lake, Grand Beach, which has a beautiful sandy beach and nice big trees and secluded camping sites. We're going with a friend of mine and her 3 kids. It will be a good time too. Mostly watching the kids run around and be crazy.
Then for August long weekend DH and I are going on a plane to toronto to visit a few friends of ours. We'll hit up Canada's Wonderland, maybe a theatre show, and then visit with my friends and their families. It's nice to have a pay cheque so we can go on trips, even cheap camping trips and not feel guilty about spending money for a change.
