Quitting is not an option.

My husband and I married very young-just 20 years old. We made plenty of mistakes, but one thing we did right was to agree before we were even married that 'divorce is not an option'. No matter how hard things were, or how much we wanted to quit, it was not an option. When things were rough we had to find a way to work it out because-divorce is not an option.

I need to lose weight for my health. If I don't make some drastic changes, I am headed for a world of health problems and an early grave. So, quitting is not an option. It is my new mantra. I have had and will have rough days, days when I want to give in to temptation, days when it doesn't seem worth the effort, days when I regret writing this blog ;)- but quitting is not an option. The more I say it, the sooner it will become a part of me. So, I will make the changes. I will start new, healthier eating habits. I will exercise. I will do the work because-quitting is not an option!

    I absolutely agree, about weight loss and marriage! We just have to keep moving in the right direction and get up when we fall down. I also find that in marriage and weight loss, the best choice is hardly ever the easiest one. emoticon

    I love this attitude - it's too easy for people (and couples) to just give up - but when you live by quitting is not an option - well, where else is there to go but UP??!! You can do it!!!! emoticon

  What I love about SP is the tracking, because it lets me look BACK at what I already did, and see where I have come to. And as long as I am consistent, and stick with it, I (almost!) magically can see progress, bit by bit. So yeah, quitting is NOT an option. And drastic changes get made in individual steps taken over time. emoticon There are a lot of inspiring stories around here. They really keep me at it some days when I feel like going off track!!

    The effort is definitely worth your health and you CAN do it! Make small changes and build on that. Give up soda for water and non-concentrated juice, buy a food scale to measure meat and cheese, use measuring cups, take the stairs instead of elevators, walk a short distance and build on it, try a Zumba class.....Never give up on you! Quitting is not an option is my motto and yes you will have days when you give in to temptation, you think it is not worth the effort. But make the next day a resolution to start over and good luck! I am here for advice if you want it!
