It is so hot! My plan is to go from one air conditioned place to the next! My first stop was the gym. By the time I got my shoes on I was in a sweat! Warm up and work out with my trainer. The dreaded legs today. Leg press, calf pulses, hamstring curls, one legged squats and sumo presses! 30 minutes of cardio on the ARC machine. Then I got a call from one of my dad's caregivers. He was complaining about pain in his right shoulder and couldn't lift his arm. So I phoned for a doctor's appointment, have a quick shower and run over to my dad's. We took him over for his appointment and then the doctor sent us over to the diagnostic imaging centre at the hospital for an xray. It was 3:30 by the time I got Dad home for his nap. Home to take the dog for a walk and then in to town to the bank, drug store and grocery store. All errands for my dad. We finally arrived home at 5. Time for dinner because I have boxing tonight. Just as I finished dinner I got a text from my trainer to say that boxing was cancelled tonight! She had a bad reaction to a medication and didn't feel well.
I got a call from the doctor's office. My dad didn't break anything. Excellent! Pain medication and physio. I don't have anything else to do. The repair guy also phoned and he is starting to do the porch repair at my dad's in the morning and I will have to be there so dad doesn't get upset with all the noise.
Now, I also have to come up with some 'stuff' that I don't need/want anymore for a collection for the Diabetes Foundation on Wednesday. I have lots of stuff. Which piece of 'stuff' should I pick to donate. What is the criteria for choosing? Do I choose 'stuff' that is not mine. My daughter and my husband have lots of stuff too. Do you think they would notice if a few sundry items were missing? My husband has lost weight and he won't need his shorts made by Omar the tent maker anymore. My daughter has so much stuff on her floor...would she notice if a few things were missing? The dog has only one ball left. I think he would notice that it was missing. I think I will slink and slither through the house with a fine looking green plastic bag (just like Santa in reverse) and stuff the stuff into the bag, quickly stick a label on it and place my achievement on the front porch for collection. Sounds simple. I've got a plan!!
Tomorrow I will spend the morning with Dad and if it is cool like 'they' said it is going to be I will squeeze in a bit of cardio at the gym to make up for the missed boxing from tonight. It might even be cool enough for a paddle tomorrow evening. Good plan. KISS
