Jenn's Journey Day 11: A Case of Hives and Kickboxing

Monday, July 23, 2012

Today was a relatively "meh" day in the office. The company I work for does a bunch of sweepstakes, so I pretty much did fulfillment of those sweepstakes all day. It was good that it wasn't too bad because my time of the month came today with little warning and I was cramping hardcore—something I luckily don't have very often.

I really didn't want to go to the gym afterwards but I made myself. Afterall, I figured I wouldn't feel better going back to the house and not exercising, so why use the excuse. We'll see how I'm feeling later this week, because today was really really rough going through my cardio kickboxing and cramping like crazy.

Anyway, last night after my work out, I broke out in hives really bad. I've been getting hives pretty routinely after working out. Based on what I can find out online, I think they're essentially a heat rash from getting hot while exercising. Anyway, has anyone ever dealt with exercise induced hives?

It does sound like a heat rash. I have had them before. They are hard to get rid of sometimes.

Good job on getting the exercise in though you really didn't feel up to it.
