I can't believe I haven't done a blog entry since the 16th!
Retirement ... I think I am busier that when I worked! LOL
I lost 2 kgs last week - which is just a little less than I put back on, but that happens and I am pleased that I lost it.
Who knows this week!
My grandson came over on Saturday for a 'sleep over' - this is the nearly 15 yo - found out he likes watching the Rugby League on pay tv here! Still he wants to come and enjoys his time here.
I did my pilates class last week - was very sore before and after. I am getting back on track now - back on my anti-inflammatory tablets - and this is helping me. I go back to the pilates appointment tomorrow - the lady will have a program for me and then after that it will be a class of 4 each time I go. I really need to get my strength happening.
When I went for a walk a couple of weeks ago, I nearly tripped a couple of times, but thought nothing of it at the time. At the pilates session last week, she watched me walk (among other observations) and said I was dragging my right leg - which is the side I have arthritis in my hip. She also measured my calves - right one shorter than left - checked hamstrings, etc, etc, and hence the program she will work out for me for tomorrow.
I need to ride the exercise bike for my hip, she tells me - something I couldn't do last week with the pain level - but hopefully will manage this week.
I am trying to still be good with my eating.
I did a couple of hours gardening on Sunday afternoon - soccer was an hours drive away - so didn't go. I went to the nursery and bought spring onions, beetroot, english spinach, silver beet, broccoli, coriander and dill and planted them all out. I also planted alyssum, stocks and primula!
Yesterday I bought 2 kale plants - don't know what it tastes like - but I believe it is good for you! LOL I also bought a pun net of 6 mixed lettuce - these will go in this afternoon.
I also bathed, blow dried and brushed Max on Sunday afternoon - then I needed a shower. He is high maintenance, but worth it!
This morning I am volunteering at a local charity for a couple of hours - Angels for the forgotten. She does up bags for children when they are taken into foster care. Not sure what I am doing today, but being picked up by my friend. I have started to crochet a rug for this cause as well.
Got all the church books up to date last week - took a long time - but all done, PHEW!
Now I have to sort and pay some bills here.
Thankfully, the sun is shining today, as it was yesterday and the days before - makes you feel like doing things!
Went to hairdresser yesterday for colour - next appointment is just before we go to Thailand - having cut, colour, waxing and an eyelash tint! All happening.
Have a great day everyone -
