5K in the HEAT of the day...not so much!

Monday, July 23, 2012

Wow, did I ever get whooped by the heat/sun/humidity this morning.

I tried to run my 5K and all the looking at my feet and repeating, "you can do it, you can do it" didn't cut the mustard today.

After about two and a half miles I really felt dizzy and like I was going to faint, so I finally gave in and walked home. I just couldn't keep going. It's only 86 degrees, but I was in the scorching sun and it's very humid.

I've never seem my face so red.

Once I got home I jogged inside until I finished the 5K.

So I finished a 5K but my time was 13 minutes a mile instead of my usual 12.

Note to self: GET out there before it gets too hot and sunny you lazy bum!

You are not a lazy bum. DH and I get out there almost at sunrise and all we do is walk anymote.

Dizzy is something that just don't cut it, yet you compensated and ran the course!
