I did it! I hiked Twin Sisters in Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest with my friend who is training to hike Longs Peak which is a 14,000 foot mountain in 3 weeks. I had a wonderful day and am really proud of myself!
Distance: 3.7 miles one-way
Summit elevation: 11,428 feet
Trailhead elevation: 9,000 feet
Net elevation gain: 2,428 feet
This is the mountain from the parking lot:

The rocky area just before the summit:
I was so excited that I didn't take a picture at the actual summit, but it was a 360 degree Panoramic view that my phone camera couldn't have done justice to. (Which goes to show its the journey not the destination!)
I didn't fully believe I could make the hike, but I just kept putting one foot in front of the other and I DID IT!
