The arthritis the doc told me about in my knees years ago has finally shown itself the past 3 weeks. I thought my skipping a day between walks and slowing my roll might provide some relief, but alas I'm going to have to live with pain from time to time. I guess my dreams of dancing on broadway are shot. I could get shots, but they are temporary relief. C'est Lavie I have 72 miles to my destination and then I'll have to decide whether to make the trek back or use my stationery bike that is currently serving has a coat rack.
Well, good luck on your last 72 miles. You've done well. How you get back is a choice you will have to make when the time comes. I don't have arthritis in my knees, but I do have heel spurs, and an Achilles heel spur that digs into my Achilles tendon. I find ways to work around it, though I wish I didn't have to, because I want to take up running. Hard to do when walking is an issue. But, you will find a way to get around that boulder in the road, seeing how it is now bigger than that normal bump.
And of course you could be the leader of the Portland team. Old man with arthritic knees probably doesn't matter. They probably just need someone to motivate and encourage them. You can do that with bad knees. Something to think about? 1946 days ago
