I've been a really good Do Bee this week with diet and exercise and tracking it all so I have to admit I was just slightly disappointed that I only lost 1.1 pounds this week. I think it was Wednesday when I sneaked in an early weigh in and was happy I had gone below 170 and promised myself, no wine, no pizza, get to Sunday for weighing in and you will surely be below 170. Oh well. I'm 170.4 and I'm good with that. A loss is a loss. I will take that loss and add just that much more to it next week.
Let's look at the other positives here:
First of all, I've only been on Sparkpeople for four weeks and I've lost a total of 14.6 pounds. Divided by 4 that = a whole 3.5 lbs. per week!! That's more than goal, almost too much too fast really. So let's forget the 1.1 lbs. lost this week and focus on that 3.5/week instead. That's awesome.
Second, since it's my 4 week weigh in I took the body measurements and updated. I've lost 3" of my waist, 1" of my hips, and 2 1/4 " from my thigh. Who even knew I was carrying weight in my thighs. I thought only women did that but I guess I'm wrong. So overall I've lost 6 1/2 " from various parts of my body. So YAY!
Thirdly, I feel pretty damn wonderful these days. It's good to finally be out of my laziness, cooking and eating wonderful whole foods (some that I've never tried before), and exercising regularly.
I do believe I'm on a lifetime path here now.
This is the time when I don't just lose the weight to turn around and put it back on again.
This time it is a change for life because I always want to feel as good as I feel on this Sunday morning, right here and now.
I've changed my life.
