where I am

Sunday, July 22, 2012

I am a returning member who now weighs 270. This is the most I ever weighed. I have always depended on exercising to lose weight and now I can't. I have chronic pain that is made severely worse with any strenuous exercise so no cardio for me. I have a lot of food issues. I am looking for motivation to lose weight.

I suggest you go to the Stronger Seniors team page and look at some of the chair exercises they use. I did and have four DVDs that I use. I get around fine but some days the weather is hot or rainy and I don't want to go out.

    Motivation comes from within.....
Do whatever you can to get to where you want to be.
If you want it badly enough ... YOU will find a way

Good luck, you can do it! , unlike you I have never depended on exercise to lose weight, BIG mistake for me, now that I am the heaviest I have ever been I must change that. I am doing the low carb and trying to get motivated to exercise every day. That is my struggle, the new way of eating is not so tough for me but I have bad knees, bad back plus I am just lazy to exercise. Do not know how else to say it,LAZY. I can motivate on the eating part can you help me with the exercise part?

If you have trouble moving because of the pain you might want to try joining one of the chair exercise groups here on Sparkpeople. It is easier to start with chair exercises if you mobility has been limited by the pain.

Good luck on your journey to good health. You CAN do this! Don't give up!

Find a group here on Sparkpeople for support!
