One of my Spark Friends got me hooked on english paper piecing (I had never tried it before). Here's what I have started...

I love the pattern, but dont be offended when I say... it would be set off better if you used a white or offwhite or plain light color for the middle section (snowball) ; then it would looks more striking and not just see all color. Change the section that looks like a colored snowball! You would be able to see the outer pattern better if you use a plain off white or musclim center. . Its just too busy as it is. Try a neutral color for the middle section. Right now its just too busy with too much color! Hugs, susana.

Looks great. I've seen this before but I'm not comfortable enough in my skill to try that yet Plus I have my quilt that I'm hand quilting to finish. Might be a couple years but who knows. emoticon

I really like it. I saw this technique done on Craftsy, but wasn't impressed with the example. Your project makes me want to reconsider and learn the technique.

Looks GREAT!!! Was just reading up on this the other day....thinking it might be something I do while I elevate my legs. Would be more productive than napping all day long!! lol

Tedious for me too. I,m too busy learning other quilting techniques, like matching my points. Good for you.

Oh, that looks good to me. I will have to see about doing something like that. Sure wish I had someone to show me how.

Looks good! How big of item are you going to make? I have never done English paper piecing. It's funny, 'cause I don't usually like to do handwork, but like to hand quilt. Figure that out. LOL

It's great that you are trying this. What you have done looks good.

I've always admired English paper piecing, but it is too tedious for me. But I really like the regular paper piecing. Copying the pattern on computer paper, and sewing through it with a sewing machine is more my style!

You like hand work, though. Later you can think whether you want to thank your friend or not.
