Okay here's my idea. I love Sparkpeople but I hate measuring foods and counting calories. It's too time consuming and I am too busy to let this consume my life! I will be posting a daily blog about what I am eating. I know this will probably be annoying to some, but I can not think of another way to save this info and share it with others so that I am accountable for what I eat. If only Sparkpeople had a way to customize my page so that I could enter this in and not have to enter calorie counts for everything!

    I am not going to measure foods. Green veggies have few enough calories that there is not much difference between the amount in a half cup or full cup serving. These are the foods I should be able to eat as much as I want of anyway, as they are natural foods that are high in fiber and good for me! I already have an idea of how big serving sizes should be. I am not eating 4 cups of fruit in one serving. I am however, eating reasonable portions of various fruits. lean meats, grilled or baked. whole grain foods like oatmeal and crackers (watching portions of course) and limiting processed foods. Not eating fast food. This is not rocket science. It really should not be that difficult. I eat healthy foods most of the time. The only problem I have is cutting out mindless eating late at night. That is why I have stopped buying chips, crackers, snacks, etc. because I am likely to over induldge. Seems to be working well so far, down 4 lbs since Monday! emoticon

    Good luck!!! I hope this is what works for you. I do agree that it will be very difficult to monitor your calories & nutrition as well as calories burned. This might help......a lot of fruits & veggies come on single sized servings so that will be easy to keep track of them. LOL. I'll be watching

    How will you be sure of the calorie value and are you weighing your foods because cup and half cup measurements are not very exact?
