Week two was a success.
I have dropped almost 3 lbs in less than two weeks by paying attention to what I am eating and following my marathon training plan. I'm giving myself an extra gold star for running in miserable heat and humidity and while away on business travel.
Since I needed to be out of town for an early Tuesday a.m. meeting, I move my hill training to Monday and ran a lucky 7.77 miles. Since I had a 7:30 a.m. work meeting Tuesday a.m. and was unsure when I would get home Tuesday night, I did my easy three mile run at 5:15 a.m. There was nothing easy about that run. It was hot, humid and windy along the Buffalo, NY lake shore but I got it done.
Took my Wednesday running rest day and when to physical therapy, where it did some leg and hip strength training. I have been fighting a summer cough/cold, and it got the better of me Wednesday night. I fell asleep at 8:30 and did not wake until 7:30 the next day. I did my 6 mile tempo run at lunch, but due to heat and humidity it was not at the tempo I was shooting for.
Friday was an easy 3.25 miles in a light rain, followed by a 10.4 mile run with a .6 mile cool down walk this morning with the Mullin's running/breakfast group. Today's run was a surprising 8:56 min/mile pace.

On to week 3!!
