After reading some of my friends posts I started wondering how many more days until my 27th birthday. Its crazy to think I only have 97 days left of being 26. I am so surprised to see my golden year disappear like it is.
I want to make 27 the best year of my life so far and in order to do that I have to do some major over hauling in my life. According to my doctor I have a BMI of 54. That is crazy to believe. I see it in print and I can't believe it. 97 days from now I want my BMI to be down to 50. That is 14 weigh in's from now. In order to take my BMI down from 54 to 50 I would need to lose aprox 28 pounds. Can I do it? Absolutely! I just have to take my weight loss journey as serious as my husband is taking his job search. ( ok maybe a little more serious) So my short term goal is that I will lose 28 lbs before October 25th. ( my birthday is the 26th but I weigh in on Thursdays). My long term goal is to lose 208.4 lbs before my 28th birthday which would give me a BMI of 29.9 or a classification of overweight. That might sound like a lot to lose in a short amount of time but I fully believe that I can do it and that I must do it. My daughter will be turning 2 in June next year and I want to have a bmi of 29.9 or less before we start considering having another child. However I don't want to wait to long to get pregnant again.
So how am I going to do that? Well I am not going to worry about the 208.4 goal. That goal will take care of its self as long as I aim for my smaller goals. The first smaller goal is to weight 28lbs less then I do now at my birthday.
Current weight 346.1 ( I am using my doctor's weight because that is the verified weigh in I have since that weigh in I have lost 2 lbs giving my at home weight 344.6) I weigh in at home in only a bra and panties and at the doctors its with my clothes on)
Goal weight 318.1 ( again this is according to the doctors scale. I see the doctor on October 16th so if I see anything under 320 I will count it as reaching my goal as long as the weigh in on October 25th reads less then 318.1)
Reward for reaching goal weight Well first off that will be a healthier start to my 27th year. But more then that if I reach my goal I am going to reward myself with a manicure and a pedicure and a new hair style. I haven't had my hair cut since I was 28 weeks pregnant with my daughter.
How am I going to do this? I am going to follow the 1800 calorie eating plan my doctor set up with my. I am going to increase my workouts to 60 minutes 4-6 times a week. I am going to increase my water from 48oz to 64oz a day. Currently I drink 48 oz of water before anything else every day plus then 48 oz of ice tea unsweetened. I want to increase it to 64 oz before I have any tea. I am also going to take my measurements every month between the 20th and 25th each month. I hope to see a decrease in my waist by at least 10 inches.
So day 1 of 97 starts now. How does it look so far? Well I am still in my goals for the day!
