My brother, the bodybuilder

Saturday, July 21, 2012

I lost my 41 year old brother last July. He was a provincial championship body builder and a source of inspiration to me. I find myself wanting to be more, to reach into my soul and achieve what i know i am capable of.

I was in weight watchers during the time i lost my brother. The day after he died, i still went to my weight watcher meeting, knowing i needed to stay on track during my crisis. Well i did stay on track. I achieved Lifetime membership in January of this year. I also lost over 90 pounds! My brother , i know is very proud of me, and i am proud of me too.

My WW meetings were also in a city 40 minutes away as i come from a small town. So after i achieved lifetime i stopped going. As of today i have maintained my weight loss through hard work and dedication, and most of all believing i can do anything and achieve everything.

I quit smoking also , almost two months ago, so i am on the road to a much healthier me!! Now i want to lose the last 15 pounds to get to my goal weight of 125lbs. Then its time for bodybuilding... Hard to believe, bodybuilding at the age of 41? Nah, age doesn't matter!!! Thats it for todays Blog,
i am getting long winded!! ha ha
Love and miss you Gary, my hero, my inspiration

You are so brave, Carla, I'm sure that Gary is more than proud. As you say he's your inspiration and your hero, he's also your cheerleader. It will be a true tribute for you to follow in his footsteps as a body builder.
