I taught Turbo Kick today as another "special Saturday" class. Today I had 7 women, last week was 6. One of the ladies that cam today was brand new to the workout. It was a HOT day out, but everyone did great! I tell them to drink water in between each song. I bought 3 of the "Froggy Toggs" Cooling Towels, and the first 2 women that get there get to use one. They are machine washable, so after class I just throw them into the laundry. They help cool you down a little! You can tie it around your head or neck, but I usually just use it to wipe off in between songs, and I put it around my neck for the abs and cool down sections at the end. I did a Saturday class last week, too. I'm not sure when I'll be able to do another one just because I am on call a lot the next few weekends for work.
I was brainstorming yesterday, and I had been thinking about doing some circuit-training with my group where I would bring equipment (such as step aerobics step, agility ladder, medicine balls, exercise ball, resistance bands, jump rope, etc). I don't want to lug all of that with me to the park, so I thought of doing it here. Maybe on a special Saturday workout class... I could set everything up in the backyard, make it into a little boot camp workout... The only thing is that I don't really have any playground equipment here for little kids that come, but today no one brought kids anyways since it's a Saturday (they stayed home with the dads). So I think a Saturday would work out fine. I am going to start making a list of different exercises, and make a brand new playlist for it. I'm thinking that August 4th might be a possibility for it, if not then I don't think I'll be able to offer it since I'm on call the other 2 weekends, then I am out of town the next 2 Saturdays for vacation.
