Well, I did buy grape tomatoes & devoured almost a quarter of the 2 pints the minute I got home. And I bought apples, too. I would've bought corn but i'm not wuite sure what we're doing for dinner. It can be hard to get into the veggie stalls with the dogs.but tbere's so much else that's tempting.
I bought 2 bureks - never heard of that before, but they're filo filled pastries - one beef, one veggie. I think they may be dinner.
I bought a dozen eggs, ground beef & 2 sirloin steak.
I bought 2 challah rolls at a place I've been meaning to try forever. I'm in kind of a dangerous mood this weekend: hungry & kind of not caring, despite the fact that my last 2 WIs weren't what I wanted. I figure by buying tbe rolls & not an entire challah I'm at least limiting the damage.
Finally I bought a small chocolate tart -- which went straight into the freezer. I'll save it for a long run someday. Today was a recovery week -- only 4 miles this morning.
And yeah, I can be petty. There were only 4 of us & I brought in tbe rear. The petty part is being slightly upset with the woman who came in ahead of me because she turned around early. I swear she did it so she could beat me. I told you I can be petty!
Actually, it was a really nice run. Much better time than last week's, but felt easier (which could be due to the simple fact that it wa 4 miles, not 6). But it also had quite a few hills.
Now it's time to relax a little.
PS: I impressed the young 20 something selling me the chocolate tart when I told him I'm a runner & run HMs . . . the furthest he's run is 11 miles. I told him I'm really slow but he was still impressed. Kind of made up for my earlier pettiness.
PPS: I just tallied up what I think I'm going to eat today & even with the challah roll (which I'm saving for tonight cause I'm not sure what we're doing for dinner) I should be ok.
Life is good.
