Frustrated!!

Saturday, July 21, 2012

So I thought that I might start weighing on Saturday a.m. instead of Sunday a.m. and I hop on the scale this a.m. and it shows virtually no loss (point something...less than a dang pound AGAIN this week)!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!

I tried telling myself it is because I am weighing a day earlier but really I can't believe that one day would make any difference. I'm very frustrated cuz' I'm staying within calorie range, eating better, exercising more!!!

I'm gonna have to do some serious mental recuperation today! emoticon

Hang in there...the cause could be for a number of different reasons. I understand how frustrating it can be, but our bodies, like our hair, have minds of their own!

It is hard to have this happen, but it does, to the best of us.

Believe me ....... same w/ me today ..... WHY don't they budge? ..... my first thought is to get mad ......... or EVEN W/ those user-UNFRIENDLY scales ........ But Q. is ..... Did yu do ST? ..... adding muscle? ..... it weighs heavey BUT don't stress! ..... Stress is SO bad, it can and does actually produce the bad hormone and cause the body to hang onto weight!! ...... Like one said above, how are your clothes fitting? .......... don't give up friend!! ....... emoticon

Eat just 10 calories less each meal and exercise just 10 minutes more each time.
Just hand in there!

If you're staying within your range even without exercise, the weight will come off again. Sometimes the body has to catch up with itself. I know it's frustrating, but really the scales don't paint a whole picture. They don't just weigh fat, no matter what we like to tell ourselves. Best way is to try on a piece of clothing that was tight, and see how much looser it is. Ignore the scale, it's not what you weigh that's important, but how you look and feel. And by the way, calories are calories. It doesn't matter if they're veggies or chocolate, despite what a previous commentator thought.

There will be days and weeks when you don't see a loss. Look back at your trackers to be sure you really stayed within your goals. Think carefully to see if there was something you weren't honest about - did you eat a bite here and a bite there and not count those calories? Often as time goes by, it becomes easier to let little things slide.Did you have a lot fo sodium or anything else to make you retain fluid? If you have been truly honest about what you've recorded for food and exercise, then give yourself a break. Sometimes your body just hits a plateau. If it doesn't change, consider changing up your exercise routine.
Don't give up!!!! You can do this!

It's so disappointing and tough not to see a change. However, you didn't put on weight, so that is great! Perhaps you feel more toned?? For the past few weeks I have stepped up on my exercising and not lost a single lb. GRR! So I guess my error is what I am eating and there's no way I get get away from it. Sometimes it takes our bodies a week or two to adjust to something new, so next week you may see a big difference. I wish you all the best. x
