The light is definently getting brighter!

Saturday, July 21, 2012

As a summary, I have been sick the last two weeks.  Not quite sure what's been wrong, just really tired and weak.  I've been to the doctor, had blood drawn twice, and been to the chiropractor twice.

Wednesday was a better day, but the. Yesterday wasn't the best.  Today started really slow.  My mom invited me to breakfast with her and my dad, but with my lack of focus I really needed to go to work. They surprised me by bringing me biscuits and gravy!  Yum!  Not something I normally eat, but one of my favorite foods and I have had a lack of interest I food so I was really excited. It was so good!

I had a meeting with a Gold Award candidate about her project. She was so energetic and excited her enthusiasm was contagious.  It makes me so happy when you can tell a girl is really engaged in her project and not just doing it because it is expected.

Went to Walmart and spent way too much time and money, but restocked my freezer with veggies!

Got ready to go for a walk / run (figuring I would walk more than run). As I was getting ready to head out, my daughter pulled up and we visited for an hour.  I was really glad to see her as it has been a bad week in our area.  We had a mom killed in one accident and a high school senior was killed in another.

Once she left, I headed out for my run.  I was so excited, it was the best workout I have had in 2 1/2 weeks.  My personal goal was to complete it in 1 hour 15 min and my training schedule calls for 10 minutes miles. I got my 5.32 miles in in just over 65 minutes.

Tomorrow we'll test out the arms and see how they are recovering!

Thanks to everyone who has supported me the last couple weeks while I've been under the weather. I really appreciate it!

I am glad that you are feeling better, I have been under the weather this summer too. I had bronchitis for almost 4 weeks. But I am on the mend too. I haven't started back to walking in the park. . it is just way to hot here. We have been under at heat index warning for longer than I want to remember

I'm glad to hear you are starting to feel better!!!

I know what you mean about working with people that actually care about what they are doing. I work with a lot of people that are just going through the motions. It makes for a frustrating work place.

So glad you're starting to feel better! Great job on the run!

We've had a bad week with deaths here in my town, too. Yesterday 4 teens were in a wreck (they were driving way too fast and trying to pass a car and hit a tree, skid marks are all over the road) and 2 were ejected from the car. One teen died, one is in critical condition, and I'm not sure about the other two. Just so sad!!! Our worship pastor and his family were in a bad wreck yesterday, too. A semi hit them on the highway. They had their whole family with them (3 kids, and the mom is expecting #4). Their van rolled several times. Thank God they only suffered minor injuries, and the baby is ok too when they checked the u/s. God was looking out for them! (I have pics of their van on my FB page).
